Dr. Jo Wong, MD is a specialist in Neurology and Advanced Anti-Aging Medicine. She graduated with a bachelor degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and then pursued her Medical Degree at the Manila Central University, Philippines. She received residency training in both Internal Medicine and Neurology and she also did extensive research work at the Royal Free Hospital of London, United Kingdom on the degeneration and regeneration of nervous system. On the clinical side, Dr. Jo not only has extensive experiences in her specialist field of Neurology at various hospitals: Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, Taipei Municipal Jen-Ai Hospital, Taipei Municipal Yang Ming Hospital and at present chief consultant at the Chung Shan Memorial Hospital, Taipei and Director of her private clinic Dr. Jo and Joe Clinic; she also attended major international Anti-Aging Conferences where she updates her clinical skills and knowledge.
Dr. Jo realized that through her experiences with her patients and constant outlook for new techniques, many illnesses such as hypertension, stroke, cardiovascular problems, neuropathy, chronic fatigue, autism, depression, insomnia, anxiety, memory loss, ADD/ADHD, and many other unexplainable illnesses can be better treated with not only the traditional stream of medicine, but a combined method of Preventive Medicine, Chelation Therapy, Anti-Aging Pyramid Program., Advanced Rejuvenation Program, Antioxidant & Antiglycosylation Cosmeceutical Skinline, a Quit Smoking Program and Stress Management Program.
Dr. Jo believes that beauty comes from within, "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Through many of her Humanitarian Service Projects at the Rotary Foundation, involvement at the World Vision, and volunteering medical help at remote mountain areas of Taiwan or third world countries around the world, she aimed at education as she said, " It is better to teach the needed to fish rather then just giving them fish to eat." Constantly, she promotes opportunities for women to have a second chance of employment and very often it comes under the professions of hair styling or beauty. Physical and internal beauty can generate confident in a person and lead a life in all its fullness. At Dr. Jo & Joe's Clinic, Dr. Jo offers a Holistic and Wholistic approach of Medicine and Programs.
Dr. Jo is actively involved in humanitarian projects at the Rotary Foundation at various levels both in Taiwan and aboard. She is the first Chinese woman to have obtained the Rotary Service Above Self Award in 1998; the most honourable award bestowed by the Rotary International.
